Andrew Watson’s racing return is on as he rejoins Garage 59 for the 2020 GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup Silver Class, racing in the #159 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 alongside Valentin Hasse-Clot, with a third driver to be announced.
Andrew will return to the premier GT European championship next week with the 2020 season commencing at Imola, Italy. Andrew and his Garage 59 team will then move onto the Nürburgring, Germany, in September and then the Spa 24 Hours, Belgium, in October and eventually finishing up at the Circuit Paul Ricard, France, in November.
This year will be Andrew’s fifth season with the Garage 59 team and he will be looking to continue the successful relationship that has seen him collect numerous podium finishes, including a third place at the legendary Bathurst circuit earlier this year. In addition to that, Andrew and the team have scored several top-ten finishes during their time together.
Andrew has been with the team since 2016 and has played a key role in the development of their Vantage GT3s since the team’s switch to Aston Martin machinery in 2019, utilising his close ties with the British marque as his role as an Aston Martin Racing Junior.

“We’re in the fifth year of our journey together as a team and you can really sense that. It feels like home, we all get on really well and that is always a massive boost for us as a team. There’s a great calendar lined up for the year, including the 25 Hours of Spa - which will be an interesting challenge for us all - and we’re all really excited to get started.
