Andrew Watson and Gratte Brothers join forces for 2019

MB Partners are delighted to announce the extension of their long term partnership with Gratte Brothers with Andrew Watson becoming the partnership’s lead ambassador ahead of 2019 racing campaign.

The new partnership will see the hugely talented Aston Martin Junior Driver team up with one of the UK’s leading building services companies, as he takes on the Blancpain GT Series in 2019. The news adds to a busy close season period for the Northern Irish driver who has progressed to Junior Driver status within Aston Martin as he looks to take the next step in his promising career.

Off the back of an impressive 2018, which included a Silver Cup Class victory at Brands Hatch, Gratte Brothers’ support will be a further boost for Watson as he heads into another important campaign.

As one of the UK’s leading building services companies, Gratte Brothers proudly supply from one source, a complete range of electrical, mechanical, security, commercial catering facilities and building service maintenance.

Hoping that 2019 brings continued success for both parties, Andrew is delighted to have the backing and support of Gratte Brothers.

“It is great to be working alongside the Gratte Brothers team across the season ahead. It should hopefully be another exciting year for me on the track and I’m thrilled to be representing Gratte Brothers along the way!”

A long-time friend of MB Partners, Ian Gratte, the Group’s Managing Director is thrilled to be supporting one of Britain’s most talented young drivers.

“We’ve a good record of backing British motor racing talents here at Gratte Brothers since supporting Mark Blundell all the way to the top all those years ago. Our relationship with MB Partners is one we value very highly and we are excited about supporting Andrew through the next stage in his career. He is an incredibly talented and grounded young man and we are looking forward to all that we can achieve together.”

Michael Trott, Group Business Development Director at Gratte Brothers, is pleased to be extending the group’s partnership with MB Partners - one he and his colleagues value very highly.

“Our partnership with Mark and the MB Partners team is an important one for us and one we take great enjoyment and value from. Andrew is an exciting talent and one we all look forward to supporting on and off the track this year. Beyond that, we look forward to continue building our relationships with MB Partners’ affiliate partner network and the opportunities that arise from that.”

Some thirty years ago, Gratte Brothers became MB Partners CEO Mark Blundell’s first sponsor as he made his way all the way to Formula One. Blundell is proud to see the baton passing on to a GT racing talent he rates incredibly highly.

“I cannot underestimate the impact that Gratte Brothers had in allowing me to enjoy a motor racing career at the very highest level. It is a relationship that all of us at MB Partners hold very dearly and I am delighted to see the new relationship between Andrew and Gratte Brothers develop. I was always very proud to represent the Gratte Brothers team on track and I know that Andrew will be a fitting ambassador for them in the future.”
